Steam Powered | Steampunk Tech Mod
Steam Powered is a steampunk technology mod for Minecraft, adding steam boilers, cogbots, vehicles, diving gear and wetlands biomes to explore.
The Steam Powered Mod drops a full steampunk tech tree into Minecraft, built around steam as the energy that drives every machine. Instead of magic or wires, you pump water, boil it, and route that steam into vehicles, automatons, and workshop gear. It pairs that machinery with new biomes and mobs so the world itself feels rewired, not just your base.
Generate Steam to Power Your Machines
Everything starts with water. You build a water pump and boiler assembly, and once the boiler blocks click together into a complete structure they begin producing steam on their own. There is no separate power line to wire up. The pump keeps the boiler fed, and the steam you generate becomes the fuel for everything else above it on the tech tree.

Steam unlocks survival and exploration gear too. Craft a gas mask and a full diving suit, then fill the helmet using an oxygen compressor. With oxygen loaded you can stay underwater long enough to actually loot the ocean instead of racing a breath bar. Most of these blocks open through a simple right-click GUI, so managing items stays quick.

Cogbots, Vehicles, and Steampunk Decor
Automation is where the mod leans into its identity. The Cog bot is a small item courier that shuttles stacks between two points you mark with location data papers, one for pick-up and one for drop-off. Set the papers, point the bot, and item transport runs itself.

The vehicles are the showpiece. The tri-wheeler is the fast option for crossing open ground, while the surface crawler walks on legs and handles rough terrain that a normal minecart would never clear. Both fit the brass-and-steam look, so they feel native to the world rather than imported.

Decorative blocks round out the aesthetic. A microscope, a desk lamp, and similar workshop props let you dress up a laboratory without breaking the theme. Out in the wild, watch for new creatures like the bug dweller and the lost diver, both tied to the mod's biomes.

You also get a small in-game book with starter tips, so read it before you start placing boilers. Pair the mod with other steampunk-flavored tech like Create Hypertubes for transit, or add atmosphere with new biomes from Cinderscapes.
