World of Bosses | Summonable Boss Fights Mod
World of Bosses is a Forge mod for Minecraft that adds sixteen summonable boss fights, each one called into your world by a crafted summoning item.
Few things in Minecraft match the rush of a real boss fight. The World of bosses Mod leans into that feeling by handing you a roster of summonable bosses, each with its own attack pattern, summon item, and reward. You decide when and where the fight happens by crafting the right item and calling the boss into your world.

Summoning and Fighting the Bosses
Every boss in the mod is summoned on demand with an item rather than spawning naturally in the world. Most summoning items are craftable and their recipes show up in JEI, while a few are earned through specific actions instead. The roster covers sixteen fights, ranging from heavy melee bruisers to summoners that flood the arena with adds. Below are four of the standout encounters.
The Nameless One
The Nameless One fires green projectiles at range and can clone himself mid-fight. Cloning boosts his melee damage and pulls a small army of skeleton allies into the arena, so clear space and bring area-of-effect options before you summon him.

You summon him by crafting the Necromancy item set.

Volcanium
Volcanium keeps things simple and brutal. He has a heavy melee swing and a leap that can chunk your health bar if it lands. The jump is telegraphed, so strafing handles it cleanly.

Craft a burning volcanic rock to call him in.

Mono Eyed Skeleton
The Mono Eyed Skeleton is one of the better animated fights in the pack. His first move slams a massive sword down. The second launches you into the air. The third mirrors the Nameless One and summons skeleton adds with mixed armor and armor-piercing fangs.

Craft a burning One-Eyed Wraith In A Bottle to summon him.

Ancient Wizard
The Ancient Wizard floats four flying swords around him and crushes you in melee with them. He can also apply a bleeding effect that ticks damage over time and summon swords out of the ground as armor-piercing fangs.

His summon item is not crafted. You get it from breaking an iron sword, with a 50 percent drop chance.

The mod also ships a set of achievements tied to beating each boss, giving you a built-in progress checklist as you work through the roster.

Installing World of Bosses
World of Bosses runs on Forge and needs GeckoLib as a dependency, so install both before you drop the boss jar in. The quick path: install Forge for your game version, add the GeckoLib library mod to your mods folder, then add the World of Bosses jar. If you are new to mod setup, our general mod install guide walks through the folder structure step by step. Once loaded, open JEI to look up every summoning recipe in one place.
If you want to extend the experience, World of Bosses pairs well with Better Combat for tighter attack mechanics, and Mowzie's Mobs for extra creature variety between boss encounters.
World of Bosses FAQ
What does the mod require to run?
It needs GeckoLib and a matching loader. Install GeckoLib first, then the boss mod, both in your mods folder.
How do I see the summoning recipes?
Use JEI. Every craftable summoning item appears there with its recipe, so you do not have to guess.
Do the bosses spawn naturally?
No. Every boss is summoned on demand with an item. A few summoning items are not craftable and drop from specific actions instead, like breaking an iron sword for the Ancient Wizard.
Can I run it on a multiplayer server?
Yes. The mod is server-side friendly, so it works on dedicated servers for co-op boss runs. Bring friends for the heavier fights.
Is the mod still being updated?
The latest release dropped in June 2026, so the project is currently active. Check the project page for the newest file before installing.
