Java seed map vs Bedrock seed map

Pick the edition first. Broad terrain is shared since Minecraft 1.18, but villages, strongholds, mansions, trial chambers, and bastions still place differently. Read the full Java vs Bedrock breakdown ->

When the map doesn't match in-game

  • Wrong edition: Java and Bedrock place structures with different rules.
  • Wrong Minecraft version: structure placement changes between updates.
  • Wrong dimension: Nether fortresses and End cities need their own view.
  • Negative seed pasted without the minus sign.
  • Zoom in: slime chunks, geodes, mineshafts, and treasure hide at world scale.
  • Large Biomes on by mistake (Java Overworld only; Bedrock hides the toggle).
  • Old explored chunks in an upgraded save can keep older terrain.

Why this one map

One map for the route, the loot, and the notes

  • Real Bedrock biome and structure engine with separate Bedrock placement rules.
  • 14+ Java versions back to 1.7, plus Bedrock and Large Biomes, in one picker.
  • Overworld, Nether, and End in one map for fortresses, bastions, End cities, and gateways.
  • Live cursor biome readout and one-click X/Z or /tp copy at any point.
  • Account-synced markers, notes, and explored state across devices, plus read-only share links.
  • Major structure layers share one map, so you do not bounce between thin single-purpose pages.

Seed map FAQ

What is a Minecraft seed map?

A Minecraft seed map reads your world seed and draws the biomes, structures, slime chunks, and X/Z coordinates the world will generate before you travel there. It runs in the browser: paste a seed, pick Java or Bedrock.

How do I find my Minecraft world seed?

On Java, type /seed in chat. On Bedrock, open the world, go to Settings, choose Game, and copy the Seed field. Copy the full value including any minus sign. Most servers need operator access or the original seed.

What is the best seed map for Bedrock?

Use a seed map with a real Bedrock structure engine. This tool generates Bedrock villages, strongholds, bastions, and slime chunks from Bedrock rules, across Bedrock 1.18 to 1.21+.

Are Java and Bedrock seeds the same?

Java and Bedrock share broad terrain and biomes since 1.18, but villages, strongholds, mansions, trial chambers, and bastions still use separate placement rules. Pick the right edition before trusting a coordinate.

How do I find slime chunks?

Turn on the slime chunk layer and zoom in. Chunks where slimes spawn below Y 40 are marked. Java slime chunks depend on the seed; Bedrock uses a fixed pattern, so the Bedrock map shows the same layout regardless of seed.

How do I find a stronghold without wasting eyes of ender?

Turn on the stronghold layer, copy the nearest coordinates or /tp command, then travel close before using eyes of ender in game to confirm the portal room.

Why are structures missing or in the wrong place?

Check the edition, Minecraft version, dimension, negative-seed sign, zoom level, and Large Biomes toggle. Some structures do not exist in older versions, so the tool hides those layers for older versions.

Can I save worlds and share my seed map?

Yes. Sign in to name worlds and sync markers, notes, and explored state across devices. Copy map link shares the exact view; a read-only share link lets friends see your route markers without editing them.
