Wukong’s Weapon and Stance Mechanics
Wukong’s weapon in the Epic Fight mod, the Wukong staff, introduces a new combat system with three stances, each having its own. You can switch between these stances using Z, X, and C. While the current build features the smash stance, future updates promise more moves with the staff.
Special Animations and Combat Skills
The custom animations are brought straight from Black Myth Wukong. From basic movements like idle, walking, and running, to intense combat animations like resolute strike and skyfall strike, you’ll feel the power behind every swing of the staff.
In addition, by pressing V, you can perform a one-handed spin, or combine V + W for a two-handed staff spin, capable of blocking arrows or other projectiles added via the config file. This dynamic defense mechanism gives you control, allowing you to strategize mid-fight.
Heavy Attacks and Dodge Mechanics
In this mod, heavy attacks are just as critical as mastering the basic combat flow. Pressing the skill key after a basic attack (except the last one) consumes a stack to execute a special attack. Managing your stacks is key to use the most powerful moves, like the skyfall strike, or the jump attack heavy that clears all stacks and delivers extra damage.
The Wukong Dodge replaces your regular Dodge while wielding the staff. It consumes less stamina, allows you to recover stacks on successful dodges, and keeps you safe in battle. Perfect dodges even let you charge stacks without clearing them, keeping you ready to use the next powerful move.
