Aviator Dreams | Realistic Aircraft Mod
Aviator Dreams is an Immersive Aircraft add-on that adds real-life pioneer planes to Minecraft, including the DC-2, Comet 1, and Super Constellation.
Aviator Dreams is an add-on for the Immersive Aircraft mod that brings real-life pioneer-era aircraft to Minecraft. Instead of fantasy mounts, you climb into historically modeled propeller planes: a Douglas DC-2, a De Havilland Comet 1, a Lockheed Super Constellation, and fly them with working control surfaces and cockpit detail. Anyone chasing a Minecraft flight simulator built around actual classic aircraft lands in the right place.
What Is Aviator Dreams?
Aviator Dreams is a technology and transportation add-on built on top of Immersive Aircraft, the parent mod that supplies the flight mechanics, aircraft frames, and physics. The add-on does not reimplement flight on its own. It contributes the models, textures, and stats for a fleet of real-world planes. The author Nax handles modeling and texture work (with a Fokker texture from Hashim and setup help from Conczin), and the project ships under the GPL-3.0 license. It runs in both client and server environments, and will not load without Immersive Aircraft installed first.
What Aviator Dreams Adds

The add-on ships a roster of early propeller-era aircraft plus one ground vehicle:
- De Havilland DH-106 Comet 1, the pioneer jet airliner.
- Douglas DC-1 and Douglas DC-2, 1930s American airliners.
- Douglas C-47, the military Dakota/Skytrain workhorse.
- Fokker F.VIIA and Fokker F.VIIB/3M, Dutch trimotors.
- Lockheed L-1049G Super Constellation, the long-range propliner.
- Toyota Stout K100, a classic pickup truck, because a hangar needs a ground vehicle too.

Each model comes with an authentic cockpit layout and working control surfaces, plus high-fidelity textures: rust, rivets, and that sun-bleached patina you would spot on a hangar-bound DC-2. Performance is kept light, so you are not trading FPS for the flight model.

How to Install Aviator Dreams
- Install Immersive Aircraft first. Aviator Dreams is an add-on. The parent mod must be present or nothing loads.
- Install a mod loader. Use Fabric or Forge matching your Minecraft version. Our general how to install Minecraft mods guide walks through the folder layout if you are new to this.
- Drop the JAR in
mods/. Place the Aviator Dreams.jaralongside Immersive Aircraft in yourmodsfolder. - Launch and fly. Spawn an aircraft, hop in, and take off.
Compatibility and Known Issues
- Parent mod required: Immersive Aircraft must be installed. Aviator Dreams does nothing on its own.
- NeoForge: A community fork, Aviator Dreams Reloaded, adds NeoForge support and Immersive Aircraft 1.3.0 fixes if you are on newer builds.
- Client and server: works in both environments, so it is fine on dedicated servers.
FAQ
Does Aviator Dreams work without Immersive Aircraft? No. It is an add-on, not a standalone mod. Immersive Aircraft provides the flight system that these planes plug into.
Which aircraft are included? The De Havilland DH-106 Comet 1, Douglas DC-1, DC-2, and C-47, Fokker F.VIIA and F.VIIB/3M, Lockheed L-1049G Super Constellation, and the Toyota Stout K100 truck.
Is it Fabric or Forge? Both. The original supports Fabric and Forge. The Reloaded fork adds NeoForge.
How much does it hurt performance? Light. The models are optimized so you keep most of your FPS while flying.
Where do I download it? Use the mod table on this page. It pulls the latest version and loader builds directly, so you do not need to hunt for the file elsewhere.
