Useful Slime | Slime Sling and Bouncing Mod
Useful Slime Mod adds slime sling and slime boots to Minecraft without the full Tinkers Construct mod, plus slime armor, slippery blocks, and Jello.
Useful Slime gives slimeballs a real job in Minecraft. The mod lifts the slime sling and slime boots out of Tinkers' Construct and ships them as lightweight standalone items, then piles on a full slime armor set, slippery slime blocks, and a Jello food that fuels your jumps. If you want bouncy mobility gear without installing a giant tool mod, this is the slimy shortcut.
Slime Sling for Long-Distance Launches
Charge the slime sling and it flings you in whatever direction you are aiming. The trick is to look back the way you want to travel, so to shoot upward you stare at the ground while charging. Release, and you rocket across valleys, over ridges, and up cliff faces far faster than sprinting could ever manage.

Aim matters more than raw power. A flat launch carries you across open ground, while a steep downward look pops you straight up so the slime boots can catch you with a clean rebound.
Slime Boots That Bounce and Absorb Falls
Wear the slime boots and every landing becomes a rebound. They cancel fall damage from sling launches and tall drops, so you can chain sling jumps without dreading the descent. Land flat and you keep most of your momentum, bouncing back into the air for a second hop.

Slime Armor, Slippery Blocks and Jello
Beyond the sling and boots, the mod rounds out a full slime armor set with a matching helmet, chestplate, and leggings, each carrying its own slimy ability.

For fast flat-ground travel, craft the Slippery Slime Block. Step on it and it shoves you forward at speed, which makes it handy for launch pads, base entrances, and creative parkour setups.

Need a boost before a big sling jump? Eat Jello, the slime food added by the mod, for a Jump Boost effect that pairs perfectly with the sling and boots.

Useful Slime FAQ
Do I need Tinkers' Construct installed?
No. Useful Slime reuses the slime sling and slime boots concepts from Tinkers' Construct but ships them as standalone items, so you can run it without the larger mod loaded.
Which mod loader should I pick?
Pick the loader that matches your pack. Fabric builds need Fabric API on top of the Fabric loader, while Forge and NeoForge builds pull their own small library dependencies. Install the loader first, then drop every jar in your mods folder. New to the process? Walk through the full install Minecraft mods guide.
Why are my slime boots not bouncing?
If you run the Performant optimization mod, disable its fastCollisions config option. Collisions need to stay accurate for the bounce logic to fire. Otherwise, report the bug on the project's GitHub issue tracker.
Can I include this mod in a modpack?
Yes. The author allows modpack use with credit and a link back to the project. You may not reupload the mod itself or redistribute its assets without permission.
Is there a backport for older Minecraft on Fabric?
The author does not backport. For an older Fabric experience, look at the alternative Slime Sling mod by Flytre7.
