Glide Mod is a Minecraft mod that adds a glider inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom. The glider allows for early and mid-game exploration and transportation through the skies with special features like heat source lifting and new enchantment.
How The Mod Works:
The glider functions similarly to the paraglider in Breath of the Wild. When equipped with the hand trinket slot, players can open the glider midair by pressing the space bar.
The glider enables new aerial exploration opportunities. Players can reach hard-to-access areas by starting from an elevated position and gliding down and to add to all of that is how easy to craft it!
Heat Sources for Lift:
An interesting feature of the mod is using heat sources like campfires, lava pools, etc to gain lift while gliding. When gliding over heat, the glider will be pushed upwards, either giving the glide extra height or allowing the player to start gliding from scratch.
New Glider Enchantments:
Two enchantments are also added by the mod – Cyclone and Gust. Cyclone gives the glider a speed boost, pushing the player forward faster while airborne. Gust creates an updraft, launching the player upwards like a heat source for even more lift.
