Advanced Netherite | More Netherite Tiers Mod
Advanced Netherite adds four upgradeable tiers of Netherite to Minecraft, each with unique armor perks, tougher tools, and decorative blocks.
Advanced Netherite takes vanilla Netherite and stretches it into a real endgame progression. Instead of one final tier, you work through four upgradeable Netherite tiers, each with stronger gear and a unique passive perk that changes how hostile mobs react to you. It is a configurable, vanilla-friendly mod, so everything can be tuned or switched off to fit your world.
What Advanced Netherite Adds to Minecraft
The core idea is simple: keep extending the Netherite ladder instead of stopping at the vanilla ingot. You chain tiers on top of standard Netherite, and each step brings better durability, faster tools, and a signature armor perk. Armor, tools, and matching decorative blocks are all included, so the new metals feel complete rather than tacked on.
Because every perk is configurable, the mod plays well in both vanilla-plus packs and heavier modded setups. You can keep all four tiers, disable the ones you do not want, or tweak how strong each bonus feels.
The Four Netherite Tiers and Their Perks
Each tier upgrades the previous one, and every full armor set unlocks a passive mob perk. Equip a full matching set to trigger it.
Netherite-Iron makes Phantoms leave you alone. If you have ever been swarmed while building at night, this is the tier that buys you quiet skies.

Netherite-Gold calms Piglins. They stop aggroing the way a full gold set would, but you keep the better stats of a true Netherite upgrade.

Netherite-Emerald pacifies Endermen. Wear the full set and they stop teleporting in to swarm you, which makes the End far less stressful.

Netherite-Diamond combines the best of the earlier perks, keeping both Piglins and Endermen passive at once.

Crafting Your Way Up the Ladder
You build each tier at a crafting table by upgrading the one below it. Start with a vanilla Netherite Ingot, then layer on the next material.

The upgrade chain is Iron, then Gold, then Emerald, then Diamond. Each tier needs the ingot from the step beneath it plus its namesake material, so the recipes form a clean ladder. For example, Netherite-Gold takes a Netherite-Iron Ingot and Gold Ingots, Netherite-Emerald takes a Netherite-Gold Ingot and Emeralds, and Netherite-Diamond takes a Netherite-Emerald Ingot and Diamonds.
Browsing recipes in-game is much easier with a viewer mod. Pair Advanced Netherite with Just Enough Items (JEI) and every recipe shows up at a glance.
Tools, Blocks, and Repairing Gear
Beyond armor, every tier ships its own tool set and a matching storage block.

Netherite Blocks double as both storage and decoration. Each tier has its own block, so you can build with materials that match your loadout or use them as fancy beacons bases.

Netherite Tools hit harder and last longer than their vanilla counterparts. They follow the same tier ladder as the armor, so a Netherite-Diamond pickaxe is the ceiling of the lineup.
Repairing follows the same logic you already know from vanilla. Any Advanced Netherite piece repairs with the ingot it was forged from, so a Netherite-Gold chestplate patches up with a Netherite-Gold Ingot rather than generic materials.

Installing Advanced Netherite
Setup is the same as any loader-based mod. Pick the build that matches your loader and drop the JAR into your mods folder, then launch the game.
- Install a compatible loader first. If you need a primer, our how to install Minecraft mods guide covers the full workflow, and we have dedicated walkthroughs for Forge and Fabric.
- Drop the Advanced Netherite JAR into your
modsfolder. - Launch the game and start mining Ancient Debris.
A couple of load-bearing notes worth knowing before you start. On Fabric, keep the Fabric API installed since most Fabric mods depend on it. If you love mining extras alongside the new tiers, Universal Ores pairs nicely for a deeper resource hunt.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Advanced Netherite still being maintained?
Yes. The latest release shipped in June 2026, with builds rolling forward for current Minecraft versions, so the project is actively updated. Check the project page for the newest files if you want the absolute latest build.
Do the armor perks stack across tiers?
No. Each perk is tied to a full set of its own tier, so you trigger the Iron perk by wearing full Netherite-Iron and the Diamond perk by wearing full Netherite-Diamond. Mixing tiers will not combine bonuses.
Can I turn off a tier or perk I do not like?
Yes. Advanced Netherite is fully configurable, so you can disable individual tiers, toggle specific mob perks, or rebalance the stats from the config files.
Do I need any other mods for it to work?
Only the loader itself. The mod is designed to run standalone on its supported loaders, with optional quality-of-life pairings like JEI for recipe browsing.
Does it work in my existing survival world?
Yes. The mod is built to be vanilla-friendly and additive, so it slots into an ongoing save without overwriting your gear or world data. Existing Netherite gear stays valid, and you can upgrade it whenever you gather the new materials.
