MC Dungeons Enchanting | Enchanting Table Mod
MC Dungeons Enchanting swaps Minecraft's enchanting table for a random three-option pick system built around a Runic Table, Roll Bench, and Gilding Foundry.
MC Dungeons Enchanting is a Fabric mod that ports the Minecraft Dungeons enchanting system into Java Edition. Rather than piling new enchantments on top of the game, it reworks how you acquire the ones that already exist, retiring the vanilla enchanting table and replacing it with a random selection loop built around three custom blocks. If you liked the three-pick enchantment screen in Dungeons, this enchanting mod for Minecraft brings that same loop into your survival world.

How the Enchanting Loop Changes
The mod adds no new enchantments. What it changes is the path to getting existing ones. The vanilla enchanting table is removed from survival, and in its place you craft a Runic Table that rolls a randomized list of valid enchantments for whatever item you drop in. You pick from the offered options the same way Minecraft Dungeons hands you three picks at a time. Because the enchantments themselves stay as the vanilla set, plus any you wire in from compatible mods, nothing about balance or power creep shifts. Only the selection mechanic does.
The Three New Blocks
Three blocks drive the whole system, and each one has a crafting recipe you can pull up in REI or EMI.

Runic Table
The core block and the direct replacement for the enchanting table. Drop an item in and it generates a randomized list of enchantments that the item can accept. You choose which one to apply from the offered picks, mirroring the Dungeons selection screen.
Roll Bench
The Roll Bench rerolls a single enchantment on an item at the cost of lapis lazuli. The lapis cost scales with the experience level that enchantment would normally demand, so rerolling a high tier option costs more than rerolling a basic one. It gives you a second chance when the Runic Table offers something you do not want.

Gilding Foundry
The Gilding Foundry consumes gold ingots to apply a random level one enchantment to an item permanently. This gilded enchantment is a bonus. It does not count toward the reroll limit or against what the Runic Table can offer, so you can stack one free gilding on top of whatever else you roll.

Pulling Enchantments From Other Mods
From version 1.2.0 onward the mod reads a config and resource pack system for adding enchantments from other mods. Icons live at mcde:textures/gui/icons/<namespace>/<enchantment>.png and use the top left 23 by 23 pixel region. A #c:powerful enchantment tag (in data/c/tags/enchantment/powerful.json) lets you override which enchantments are treated as powerful and cost more points, through a datapack. The mod ships with built in support for the MC Dungeons Weapons, MC Dungeons Armors, and MC Dungeons Artifacts companion mods, so those enchantments show up in the selection pool out of the box.
Installing the Mod
MC Dungeons Enchanting is Fabric only. Fabric API is required, and a recipe viewer like REI or EMI is recommended so the new block recipes are easy to find. If you have never set up a Fabric loader, our Minecraft Fabric guide walks through it, and the general how to install Minecraft mods walkthrough covers the rest of the basics. Some players report running it on Forge through Sinytra Connector with Forgified Fabric API, but that is not an officially supported path, and OptiFine is known to break compatibility.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this mod add new enchantments? No. It only changes how you obtain enchantments. The enchantments themselves are the vanilla set plus any you wire in from compatible mods.
Is MC Dungeons Enchanting available for Forge or NeoForge? Officially it is Fabric only. Running it on Forge through Sinytra Connector works for some setups, but treat that as experimental rather than supported.
What do I need to run it? Fabric API is required. A recipe viewer such as REI or EMI is recommended so you can see the crafting recipes for the Runic Table, Roll Bench, and Gilding Foundry.
If you want a different take on enchanting, the Enchant with Mobs mod ties enchantment progression to mob hunting, and the alessandrvs enchantments mod adds a fresh enchantment set on top of the vanilla system. The Fabric API page covers the shared library this mod depends on.
