[Let's Do] BloomingNature | Biome Overhaul Mod
[Let's Do] BloomingNature is a biome overhaul mod for Minecraft that reshapes nearly every vanilla biome with new trees, flowers, animals, and stone types.
[Let's Do] BloomingNature is part of the Let's Do collection, a family of Minecraft mods that lean into a calmer, more atmospheric survival experience. This one focuses on the world itself, retuning vanilla biomes so forests feel denser, meadows look overgrown, and the landscapes you walk through stop reading like the default game.
What BloomingNature Changes in Your World
The mod overhauls nearly every vanilla biome with new tree shapes, fresh vegetation, and subtle terrain detail. Badlands, Mushroom Islands, and Deserts are the main exceptions, so those keep their original character.

Two vanilla biomes get full forest replacements. Old Growth Birch Forest becomes Aspen Forest, with pale trunks and autumn-toned leaves.

Old Growth Pine Taiga becomes Larch Forest, a denser conifer environment that changes how the canopy reads from a distance.

Vegetation gets the biggest visual lift. Twenty-six new flower species, including Bluebells and Foxgloves, spread through meadows and forest floors, and new grass variants thicken the ground cover.

A handful of new ambient animals, like Turkeys and Deer, roam the refreshed biomes.

New blocks round out the build palette. Quicksand, Marsh Blocks, and Forest Moss give swampy and forested builds more texture, while Mushroom Bricks add a decorative option.

Two new stone variants, Laterite and Travertine, give builders warmer and lighter palettes to work with.

Vanilla Animal Swaps
BloomingNature also retunes where familiar farm animals appear. In Forest, Savanna, and Jungle biomes, Chickens are replaced with Turkeys.

Cows are replaced with Bisons.

Pigs are replaced with Boars.

Pelicans now spawn on beaches.

The mod only removes or replaces vanilla features. It does not alter world generation or biome placement, so your seed stays the same and existing terrain keeps its shape. The new animals also don't drop unique loot. Their job is atmosphere, not new crafting chains.

Finding New Stone and Animals
Travertine is a beige stone that generates mainly in River and Plains biomes. Watch for the pale blocks near waterways and open ground. It mines cleanly and works well for lighter builds.

Laterite is a deep red stone that only generates in Jungle biomes. It stands out against the green canopy and gives jungle bases a distinct foundation.

Both Travertine and Laterite are full building materials, with slabs and stairs included.
Many of the new animals are tied to specific biomes:
Deer, Turkeys, and Owls live in Forests.

Boars roam Forests and Savannas.

Raccoons and Squirrels appear in Plains.

Red Wolves are found in Larch Forests.

Pelicans gather on Beaches.

Mossy Sheep and Muddy Pigs live in Swamps.

Bisons and Boars share the Savanna.

Termites have a small chance to spawn near Termite Mounds, which generate in Savanna biomes.

How to Install BloomingNature
Setup follows the usual Fabric flow. Install Fabric first, then grab the Architectury API and Fabric API, because BloomingNature depends on Architectury and Fabric needs its API at runtime. Drop the BloomingNature jar into your mods folder and launch the game. For a fuller walkthrough, see our guide to installing Minecraft mods. World generation changes only apply to new chunks, so start a fresh world or push into ungenerated terrain to see the new biomes.
Playing Alongside Other World-Gen Mods
BloomingNature plays well with other world-generation mods. It is confirmed compatible with Terralith, Meadow, Beachparty, Nature's Spirit, Regions Unexplored, Reterraforged, William Wythers' Expanded Ecosphere, Biome Makeover, Ecologics, and Naturalist. Sodium and Rubidium-based performance mods also run fine alongside it.
BloomingNature FAQ
Is BloomingNature safe to add to an existing world? Yes, but only new chunks get the new trees, flowers, and biome tweaks. Old terrain keeps its original look.
Does it change biome placement? No. The mod replaces features inside biomes, not the biomes themselves or where they spawn.
Do the new animals drop anything? No special drops. They exist to make the world feel wilder, not to add new crafting chains.
Where can I read more? The covers blocks, biomes, and config in more detail.
Is BloomingNature still being maintained? The last release landed in March 2026, so the project is actively updated. Check the project page for current status before building a long-term pack around it.
