Archers Mod for Minecraft reshapes ranged combat into a full RPG archetype. Instead of plain bow spam, you build an archer class with a leveling skill tree, dedicated equipment, and rebalanced enchantments that scale like melee ones. It is part of the broader RPG Series, which also includes the Wizards Mod and Paladins & Priests Mod.

Unlock Archery Skills at the Spell Binding Table

Your first goal is a Spell Binding Table. Find one inside a village gazebo, or craft your own with bookshelves and bind an Archery Manual. The manual is your spellbook, and slotting it unlocks active abilities such as Power Shot, Entangling Roots, and Barrage.

Place the manual in its correct slot to keep the spells active, then level the skills up as you use them. Every ability works with any bow or crossbow, vanilla or modded, so your existing arsenal stays relevant.

Craft Archer Weapons, Armor, and Dungeon Loot

Beyond skills, the mod adds a lineup of ranged weapons and armor with archery bonuses. Craft spears, bows, and crossbows with distinct stats, and wear pieces like the Archer's Vest for bonuses that reward a ranged playstyle. All gear attributes are configurable in config/archers/items.json.

You do not have to craft everything. Dungeon chests now roll powerful archery loot, and those loot injections are configurable in config/rpg_series/loot.json.

Auto-Fire Hook and Rebalanced Enchantments

The Auto-Fire Hook is a gadget you attach to any bow or crossbow. Hold the use button and it releases a volley of fully charged shots on its own, removing the need to time each draw. Strip it off again on a Grindstone, and define compatible items through the archers:auto_fire_hook_attachables data tag.

The mod also rebalances vanilla ranged enchantments so they scale like melee ones. Power now grants +8% damage per level instead of a flat +50%, Quick Draw cuts crossbow draw time by 10% per level instead of 20%, and Infinity works on crossbows by default. Tweak everything in config/archers/tweaks.json, and a datapack can restore vanilla enchantment defaults if you want the original feel.

Village Archery Ranges

New Archery Range structures spawn inside villages, giving you a place to trade emeralds for arrows, bows, and armor. Spawn weight and limits are configurable in config/archers/villages.json. If you run Better Villages by JTL, the mod recommends disabling its small archery ranges to avoid duplicates.

How to Install Archers Mod

Install Archers Mod like any Fabric or NeoForge mod. Drop the mod jar and its required dependencies into your mods folder: Spell Engine, Ranged Weapon API, AzureLib Armor, and Structure Pool API, plus the Fabric API on Fabric.
