Celestisynth: Wishes and Hells is a combat expansion built around a small arsenal of hand-crafted celestial weapons. Each one has its own crafting path, an active skill set, and signature visual effects, with attack moves drawn from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. The result is a mod that rewards exploration and combat mastery instead of simply dropping overpowered gear into your inventory.

The weapons of Celestisynth

Three signature weapons anchor the mod, and each is tied to a specific ore you have to hunt down before you can forge it. That gather-then-craft loop keeps the weapons feeling earned rather than handed to you.

Solaris

The Solaris is a fiery greatsword built from Solar Crystals. You harvest those crystals from Solar Craters scattered across the Nether, so claiming one means surviving a trip into the dimension's most hostile corners first. Once forged, it brings aggressive close-range attacks with bright flame effects.

Crescentia

The Crescentia is a crescent-shaped sickle that hits far harder than its size suggests. Its crafting material is Lunar Stone, hidden inside Lunar Craters across cave levels, so you will be digging your way toward it rather than buying or trading for the parts.

Breezebreaker

The Breezebreaker is the swift, precise option of the three. Forging it calls for Zephyr Deposits tucked into mountainous terrain above Y level 130, which turns the crafting step into a high-altitude hunt. In combat it leans on speed and clean hits over raw area damage.

Installing Celestisynth

The mod ships as a standard JAR, so the setup is the usual Minecraft mod install flow. Install your loader of choice, drop the JAR into your mods folder, and launch the game. From there, the crafting journey is part of the fun, since each weapon forces you out into a specific biome and dimension to gather its ore.

Compatibility and shaders

Celestisynth is designed to cooperate with Better Combat, so the two can run side by side without one overriding the other's attack feel. Shaders are a different story. The weapon effects are intentionally flashy, and most shader packs push those effects past the point of readability. If the screen gets too busy mid-fight, the fix is usually to disable shaders while these weapons are equipped.

Celestisynth FAQ

Is Celestisynth still being maintained?

The last release landed in February 2026, and the author has flagged the project as cancelled with a rewrite planned. New content will come through that rewrite rather than patches to this version, so check the project page for current status before committing to a long-term playthrough.

Does it work with shader packs?

Not cleanly. The skill animations already lean bright, and shader packs amplify that into visual noise. Most players run Celestisynth with shaders off.

Can I pair it with Better Combat?

Yes. The two mods are built to coexist, and Better Combat's attack timing sits comfortably alongside Celestisynth's own skill set.

Where do I report bugs?

The author takes bug reports on the GitHub repository linked from the project page. Discord is the faster channel for general questions.

Are more weapons planned?

The cancelled build is being replaced by a rewrite, so fresh weapons and mechanics should arrive through that new version instead of this one.
