NeonDeco | Neon Block Decoration Mod
NeonDeco is a Minecraft decoration mod adding 61 glowing neon blocks in six dyeable colors with shader-compatible lighting for Forge and NeoForge builds.
What Is NeonDeco?
NeonDeco is a decorative Minecraft mod that turns your builds into glowing, futuristic cityscapes. It drops a set of neon-styled blocks into the game: tubes, hazard symbols, signs, and more, each one emitting a radiant glow that makes modern and sci-fi builds pop. Every block ships with a crafting recipe, so you can obtain them in survival without cheating them in, and each one is shader-compatible for maximum brilliance.
What NeonDeco Adds
The current version introduces 61 new neon-themed blocks, with over 385 total block states once you count every color variant. Each block comes in six color variations (Lime, Light Blue, Magenta, Yellow, Orange, and Red), and you can recolor any placed block by right-clicking it with a supported dye, no breaking required. Block types range from glowing tubes to hazard symbols and signs, giving you a flexible palette for signage, accents, and full neon interiors. Planned additions include more tube blocks, additional sign and symbol blocks, and vanilla-based neon blocks.

A major benefit of NeonDeco blocks is full shader compatibility. Pair them with shaders and the neon lighting takes on even more brilliance and flair, opening up possibilities for sleek modern builds and glowing cityscapes.

Compatibility and Known Issues
NeonDeco works on both the client and server side, so it is suitable for multiplayer servers as long as everyone runs the same version. The latest release is a rework alpha (1.2.0.a) from January 2026, so expect occasional breaking changes between versions. For more glowing aesthetics, pair NeonDeco with Dusty Decorations for rustic contrast or Glow & Behold for potion-effect lanterns.
FAQ
Can I recolor NeonDeco blocks after placing them? Yes. Right-click any placed neon block with a supported dye to swap its color (Lime, Light Blue, Magenta, Yellow, Orange, or Red) without breaking and replacing it.
Is NeonDeco shader-compatible? Yes. All NeonDeco blocks are designed to work with shader mods, and the glow intensifies beautifully under shaders like OptiFine or Iris.
Which mod loaders does NeonDeco support? The rework currently builds for the loaders listed in the install steps above. The author may expand platform support as the alpha progresses, so check the project page for the latest.
Can I craft the blocks in survival? Yes. Every neon block has a crafting recipe, so you can obtain the full palette legitimately in survival mode.
