REPO Heads is a client-side mod that ties your microphone to your avatar's face. Speak up and the top of your head peels apart, then your pupils dart to follow whatever is happening around you. It is a faithful nod to the absurd head and eye movements from the co-op horror game R.E.P.O., rebuilt for Minecraft multiplayer.

What REPO Heads does to your character

The mod listens to voice volume and maps it straight onto your player model. Loud moments crack your head open at the seam you choose, and quiet ones snap it shut again. Pupils track movement in real time, so every head tilt and glance reads like a reaction shot from the original game.

Animation options you can tune

Volume-based head splitting. Your head opens and closes in step with your sound level.
R.E.P.O. priority eye tracking. Eyes follow in-game action with the same twitchy precision as the source game.
Customizable eye positions. Pick up to two eye and pupil locations and experiment with the look.
Adjustable head splitting height. Set the exact pixel where the head splits, leaving at least one pixel of padding at the top and bottom.

Both your eye placement and your split height are shared with anyone else running the mod, so your custom look shows up on their screen too.

The buttons and what they toggle

Two on-screen toggles control how much of the effect other people see. One hides other players' head and eye movement on your end. The other stops your own animation data from being sent out, so you can enjoy the gag locally without broadcasting it.

How to install REPO Heads

Because the mod reads your microphone through a voice chat layer, it needs that layer installed first.

Install Simple Voice Chat on your client and on any server you join. REPO Heads hooks into it to read your audio level.

Drop the REPO Heads jar into your mods folder alongside Simple Voice Chat.
Launch the game, join a voice channel, and start talking. Your head should split the moment volume crosses the threshold.

Known incompatibilities

REPO Heads overlaps with a handful of mods that also rewrite player rendering. Avoid pairing it with the Fresh Moves or Fresh Animations resource packs, The Aether, EmoteCraft, Supplementaries, Better Combat, or Modular Golems. Conflicts there tend to break the head model rather than crash, but the effect looks wrong either way.
