The Swampier Swamps Mod overhauls the swamp biome. It adds new features, such as new frog variants, frog lights, and swamp gas, as well as improvements to existing features, such as lily pads and vines.
Mod Features:
13 new frog variants: Each with its own unique appearance and different colors, including green, blue, yellow, and orange, and in different sizes, from small to large. (need to be edited in the JSON file)
Dragonflies: The Swampier Swamps Mod adds dragonflies to the swamp biome that also come in a variety of sizes and colors.
13 new frog lights: The mod also adds 13 new frog lights. Frog lights are a type of light that is emitted by frogs. They are a bit bouncy, like slime blocks.
2 new lily pads: The Swampier Swamps Mod adds two new lily pads: big lily pads and small lily pads. Small lily pads need to be harvested with shears.
Sinking lily pads: Lily pads will now sink if you stand on them. The time it takes for this to happen can be altered in the mod’s configuration file.
Swamp villages: The adds swamp villages to the swamp biome.
Fertile farmland: A new type of farmland that makes crops grow faster.
Swallow Me Waldo: If you name a frog “Swallow Me Waldo”, it will turn into a killer frog that eats everything. This can be disabled in the mod’s configuration file.
More Features
- Lily pad growth system: The Swampier Swamps Mod adds a lily pad growth system. This means they can now be harvested and replanted, making them a renewable resource.
- Cattails and swamp vines: The Swampier Swamps Mod adds cattails and swamp vines to the swamp biome. Cattails can be obtained by using bonemeal underwater in a swamp biome. Swamp vines replace vines in swamps, and they can grow into water.
- Swamp gas: The Swampier Swamps Mod adds swamp gas to the swamp biome. Swamp gas is a green cloud that can be found over water. It can be harvested by using an empty bottle on it. Walking into swamp gas gives you negative effects, such as nausea and blindness.
- Decaying kelp: The Swampier Swamps Mod adds decaying kelp to the swamp biome. Decaying kelp can be harvested and used to create fertile farmland.
- Frog legs: Frogs will now drop 1-2 frog legs when they are killed.
- Potion of Leaping: The recipe for the potion of leaping has been changed to use frog legs instead of rabbit paws. Rabbit paws now create potions of luck.
- New swamp trees: The Swampier Swamps Mod replaces the existing swamp trees with new trees, such as the bald cypress.
- Other decorations: The Swampier Swamps Mod adds a variety of other decorations to the swamp biome, such as mud puddles and decaying logs.
